I’ve often wondered what it’s like being Trump’s translator and trying to deal with his word salad.  Well, it’s probably in fact not that difficult.

You know how it’s kinda funny to plug some text into translate.google.com and after translating it, translate it back?  It’s usually pretty much just gibberish.

Well it turns out it’s GIGO (garbage in garbage out) and when you feed Trump to the translator and round-trip it back to English, well it’s still pretty much the same unintelligible stuff you started with.

Let’s start with some Trump word salad from just a few days ago:

One of the problems that a lot of people like myself  we have very high levels of intelligence, but we’re not necessarily such believers. You look at our air and our water, and it’s right now at a record clean. But when you look at China and you look at parts of Asia and when you look at South America, and when you look at many other places in this world, including Russia, including  just many other places  the air is incredibly dirty. And when you’re talking about an atmosphere, oceans are very small. And it blows over and it sails over. I mean, we take thousands of tons of garbage off our beaches all the time that comes over from Asia. It just flows right down the Pacific, it flows, and we say where does this come from. And it takes many people to start off with.

And now back to English:

One of the problems that many people like me have is that we have very high levels of intelligence, but we are not necessarily such believers. You look at our air and our water, and right now we are in a clean place. But when you look at China and look at parts of Asia and when you look at South America, and when you look at many other places in this world, including Russia, even to many other places, the air is incredibly dirty. And when you talk about an atmosphere, the oceans are very small. And it blows and it sails. I mean, we get thousands of tons of garbage from our beaches all the time that comes from Asia. It just flows into the Pacific, it flows and we tell where this comes from. And it takes a lot of people to start.

Pretty much identical, huh? Who woulda thunk it? I leave you to draw your own conclusions.
