The big news is that Pete Hegseth and other cabinet members used a public chat app to discuss the attack on Hamas. And they invited a journalist to the chat. Oops. But one nice thing to come out of using a public chat program to discuss national security stuff is now Hegseth and others are getting personalized ads. They can be sure of being apprised of all the latest deals on Apache helicopters, tanks, howitzers, and more, often with tasty bonus free munitions. This will surely help slim down that bloated Pentagon budget!
Hey, speaking of which, why isn’t DOGE going after the Pentagon? It’s only the most notoriously wasteful and bloated component of the government’s budget. Rife with cost overruns, inflated prices, and mystery money lost to the hands of both lobbyists and contractors.
Oh wait, that’s because a good dictator does need to have their army on their side.

Side note: Do a Bing search for “Pete Hegseth” and the one-line bio still says “TV presenter.” Yes folks, that’s really who we’ve got running the military now. No wonder he’s not aware of protocols for holding this type of discussion.
P.S. I heard Pete referred to today as a “DUI Hire”.
