Because “homophones” sounds a lot like homos and we all know the GOP really doesn’t like them. Hawk, Hawkeyes, honest mistake. I mean sure anybody could accuse someone of perjury over that. Or “trees” and “treason” or “lies” and “analyze” which sounds like a sex word anyhow. And we just learned the “dumb” is spelled with a “b” for some ungodly reason.
So calibrate the GOP’s ability to speak English and quit beatin’ the guy up. It’s a mistake anyone could make!
