Everybody is taking a victory lap acting like we won this thing with the blue tsunami. But that ain’t how those idiots fight. They lost round one for sure but they’re gearing up for the next rounds. If you’re imagining that they’ll peacefully swear in a bunch of new Democrat congressmen, I’m afraid you’re sadly mistaken my friend.
In theory neither the current congress, nor the presidency, have the authority to not recognize the new congress. However there is a butt ton of stuff they can do to challenge and/or delay the seating of the new candidates. And it’s tangle of state-specific stuff too. I’m sure the GOP has an army of lawyers looking for loopholes as we speak.
Trump still hasn’t accepted the 2020 results. Why would anyone expect different now?
