I don’t know if anyone can remember back this far. At one point some wacko peace-nik libtards were saying “what if we spent that cost of the war on instead improving Afghanistan infrastructure and schools? Then the Taliban wouldn’t have such an easy time recruiting because everyone would love the West.”

Yeah, well, obviously we didn’t go that way. And now 3 trillion dollars later what have we got? Everyone was mad at the West which made recruiting easy for the Taliban. And now they’re huge and easily overrunning the country.

If only there’s some way we could have seen this coming…
